The Fall of Rome: Parallels with Current Trends in Europe and North America

Below follows an instructive video presentation by Stefan Molyneux, a Canadian blogger and "philosopher and libertarian" through his multi-media website, Freedomain Radio.

This video "The Truth About the Fall of Rome: Modern Parallels", shows what history can teach us. Whether history repeats itself or not, it's better to be aware of historic events and lessons learned. This video reviews the fall of the Roman empire, and looks for parallels with the current challenges facing Europe and North American. As Molyneux describes it: "Western civilization hangs by a thread - to rescue it, we must delve deep into the past to find out how to save the future. The fall of the Roman Empire closely mirrors the challenges currently facing Europe and North America – toxic multiculturalism, rampant immigration, runaway feminism, debt, currency corruption, wildly antagonistic politics – everything we need to know to save everything we love is written deep in the history of ancient Rome – all we need to do is look!"

Although quite a long video to watch - nearly two and half hours - it's worth your time:
